New Duckwyn Destination: New River Gorge National Park and Preserve

The scenic New River Gorge National Park and Preserve protects the longest and deepest river gorge in the Appalachian Mountains. Over the years, the river shaped the valley exposing coal that was mined in the 18th and 19th centuries to fuel America’s industries. The remaining buldings from this time can be found throughout the park.
